Reasons for Blogging:
I am someone who likes a challenge. I have established this blog for a few reasons:
- I like the challenge of being able to understand how something works, so when I discovered blogging, and Wordpress I wanted to establish a site of my own
- I like to say things and like to have people think deeply about more than just the words but meaning
- I think that communication is an imiportant skill and without practice I will never be able to perfect it
- I have noticed that there are not many blogs about business intelligence, my awesome MDX skills need to be shared with someone
- I am a member of experts-exchange and have noticed that some questions get asked many times, I would like somewhere to create a definitive how to guide for many of the things that people can not get correct, so I can just point people in the right direction.
- I have an interesting take on the news and with an abstract mind am able to connect many disperse ideas to come up with unique conclusions.
- I like to use the word I
- I am currently studying for my law degree and will be finished by the end of 2008, although there are many lawyers, there are not many with blogs and only a minute number that have blogs, so if I am able to add to people’s understanding of the law in any way
- I love reading, especially anything about history, and in particular world war two and would like to discuss the similarity between historical events and those currently transpiring
- I subscribe to countless blogs and have thought that I could do better than that
- I would like to have interesting converstaions with interesting people from all over the world
- I would like to contribute to the open source community, when I work out what I can contribute I will be able to do so; writing this blog may be able to clarify this for me.
- I work in a very quiet environment, I have much to say and do not have an audience who can listen - even if no one reads this - my thoughts are solidified
- I want to be rich and famous (but I do not really think that a blog will help in those respects)
- I am looking for somewhere to respond to other blog posts I do not agree with
